15" Paludarium

Tank Specs:

Size: 15"x12"x12"
Substrate: sand
Lights: 11w PLL
Filtration: 200lph internal power filter which runs waterfall too

Flora: Hygrophilla Corymbosa, Aponogeton Crispus, Java Moss, Java Fern and on land section locally collected weeds.

Fauna: Dont know the ID. Caught these active juveniles from a hill stream. They are about 1.5cm and adults had a black lateral line running through their body till tail tip...

Updates - olive trauma

The earlier set up did not last long since it could not sustain summer heat with closed hood and no air circulation.

Changes done:
i) Open hood
ii) Lights upgraded to 4 X 11 Watts pll
iii)Added Pressurised CO2 setup (plant growth have tremendously increased due to this; needs weekly trimming)

My Planted Aquarium (Photos)


Tank specs:
Size: 2'*1'*1' (14 gal)
lighting: 1 cfl + 1 philips tube. (total 33watts)
Substrate: laterite base topped with 1-2mm white sand.
Fertilizers: pmdd (k2so4+kno3+mgso4) added after weekly water change. Microsol b solution daily after lights off.
Co2: diy yeast mix.
Flora: amazon, vals, java fern, ludwigia, dwarf sagittaria, and few other stem plants.
Fauna: neon tetras, black neon tetras, rainbows, red tail shark, ram, sand loach and few shrimps.
